I suffer from the same affliction. Flat, above-window awnings can provide shade without compromising visibility.
- hasbot 2y agoAn awning entirely above the window would have to be very large to prevent sunlight from entering the window (see a passive solar eave calculator for details). A flat awning would have to be very sturdy to handle a snow load.
