I'm tall. If I had awnings on my windows all I'd ever see would be grass and awning. I have "black out" curtains on my windows and they actually do a fair job reducing the heat of the sun. I can feel the heat radiate from my metal front door.
- loloquwowndueo 2y agoIf you had an awning for your front door you wouldn’t feel the heat :)
- barryrandall 2y agoI suffer from the same affliction. Flat, above-window awnings can provide shade without compromising visibility.
- hasbot 2y agoAn awning entirely above the window would have to be very large to prevent sunlight from entering the window (see a passive solar eave calculator for details). A flat awning would have to be very sturdy to handle a snow load.
