Can't speak for everyone but most times I left jobs for those with lower comp. I wanted to do something else or have more autonomy. Basically non salary concern

Can't speak for everyone but most times I left jobs for those with lower comp. I wanted to do something else or have more autonomy. Basically non salary concerns. If it was just salary you wouldn't see turnover at FAANG companies of 2-3 years. A ton of people leave and take huge pay cuts because they don't like the work or feel bored
- agumonkey 2y agogolden handcuffs are real, you rapidly stop caring about compensation if you don't wake up interested in the goal or how it's done a good team and good project is worth a lot
