How'd this story wind up?
- KronisLV 2y ago> How'd this story wind up? A team vote on which solution to use, an issue created in the change management system to re-implement the approach that gets rid of index.js files. Definitely a case of conflicting ideas about software development and everyone thinking that they know better. It would have been better to have the discussion early on, as opposed to people just changing things how they want, e.g. if I just changed them back it would be as unhelpful. Of course, I have ideas that are also sub-optimal or plain wrong sometimes, but getting those shot down in a group setting ahead of time would actually be better than implementing something bad and causing headaches for people down the road.
