The disease is likely to kill you without treatment and the "cancer" is not solid organ cancer like most people are used to thinking of but mostly (5 out of 7 cases) myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) which is different and curable in some cases, as this paper demonstrates. If it were me, I'd take my chances.
