This leads me to wonder if Bridge could be used for P2P computing, turning traffic spikes, normally a liability for servers, into a major boon, like BitTorrent and Skype do.
- dshankar 14y agoMaybe a Distributed CDN of sorts?
- vitus 14y agoIsn't the entire point of the CDN that it is distributed? (: But yeah, allowing peers to participate in a CDN is basically the notion of torrenting. :)
- vitus 14y agoCurrently Bridge does not have support for direct P2P communication (it's listed on the roadmap as one of the upcoming features), but do note that P2P such as torrenting can cause various networking issues if not implemented well.
