There's a new super-thin solar cell out there
I saw this solar cell made by Exeger, called powerfoyle. Apparently, it can go straight onto a device, like headphones, and can charge its battery, even indoors. But I'm not sure if the output will be anything substantial. Can anyone share their thoughts? Would this be viable?
- kstenerud 2y agoLike with battery tech, you pretty much have to assume that a solar cell that's not currently being produced and shipped is 99.99% likely vaporware.
- hemanthshenoy 2y agoYeah, I suppose. It's strange how fast we've developed other tech (like GPUs) but still struggle with limited, old, inefficient energy production and storage systems.
