I live in Sylva which is about 45 minutes from Asheville and yeah, Cell service made getting any useful information on your phone pretty bad. If I hadn't had Starlink I would have been in the dark for at least a week on a whole lot of stuff. If I could sum up much of the miserableness of this disaster event it would be communication breakdowns in all kinds of ways.
