I applied for ~30 positions at Halliburton over 1.5 years while I was working within the plant for a private contractor. Then about 2.5 years after the first and I had left... I got them all back at once with a a flood of boiler emails saying "this particular position has been filled at this time, apply again." Someone's queue had grown embarrassingly large and they scrubbed it with a single command. It got me thinking of some cyber-enhanced future war where dead soldiers go into a queue and after the war is over someone releases the flood of "We regret to inform you" emails all at once. Using the same command probably.
