My experience is not just against insurgents. I fought uniformed Iraqi military, and some black pajamas guys later. I was there in 2003. The conflict in Kosovo was nothing like the ROE in Iraq, and if you’re on the ground calling for fire you damn sure would know the difference between arty and us.
