- stanford_labrat 2y agoFor those not aware: Metformin is a popular (unapproved?) nootropic.
- nkozyra 2y agoMy guess is metformin is here because of its effects on blood sugar. It is available as a prescription drug for this purpose.
- r00fus 2y agoSome people who come off the GLP-1 meds (acheiving goal weight) are recommended by their docs to take metformin as a maintenance drug to stabilize weight.
- petesergeant 2y agoI had an endo suggest that to me. In addition there's been a flurry of Peter Thiel types mentioning it as a life-extension wonderdrug.
