- 7874cole 2y agobut why use this?
- naveen99 2y agoThe official leaderboard doesn’t distinguish between karma gotten from stories vs. comments. Some people automate story submission and get a lot of karma without insightful comments…
- mattbrewsbytes 2y ago> Edit: sorry, site down temporarily I mean what kind of irony is this, a site trying to track HN user points, posts on HN and gets the HN hug of death. Is that like a level 3 irony?
- naveen99 2y agoBack up: https://hn.garglet.com/leaders https://hn.garglet.com/leaders Not really hug of death. It was a slightly unrelated issue.
- mikewarot 2y agoI don't know why I care about pretend internet points, but I just had to find out that I rank #1501 in terms of them here. I assume I'm not the only one

- codingdave 2y agoSorting by avg_karma only re-sorts the current list that is on-screen, it is not the actual sort of the entire community.
- naveen99 2y agoIf you display the top 1000 or even 10000, then it will sort those. For example: https://hn.garglet.com/leaders?page=1&sort_by=avg_karma&page_size=1000 https://hn.garglet.com/leaders?page=1&sort_by=avg_karma&page... But yes, sorting can / will be improved.
