Probably a case of young vs old eyes. If I wanted a toned down screen I would probably go with a light text on dark background that is still high enough contras

Probably a case of young vs old eyes. If I wanted a toned down screen I would probably go with a light text on dark background that is still high enough contrast. I even have a large script backlit keyboard so I can see what I'm typing.
