Amber Alerts in general seem broken. It was sold on the promise of mobilizing the general population to look for missing children as soon as possible. But there is no feedback. I never get a notification that an alert has been canceled. No statistics about effectiveness. Did the alert generate tips, help solve the case? Was it something other than a custody dispute?
