- fearmerchant 2y agoGreat if it holds up. Unfortunately, they have had some rather large revisions to the initial estimates lately. One of many sources you can find on this issue: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/21/business/economy/us-jobs-economy.html https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/21/business/economy/us-jobs-...
- otteromkram 2y agoNo offense, but why share a paywalled link?
- fearmerchant 2y agoMy apologies, I haven't finished my coffee yet this morning and overlooked that issue. Give this a try: https://archive.ph/okmpC https://archive.ph/okmpC
- elashri 2y agoHN guidelines ask for original source links to be used. Some people would voluntarily add archive links in a comment like that https://archive.is/2024.08.23-174553/https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/21/business/economy/us-jobs-economy.html https://archive.is/2024.08.23-174553/https://www.nytimes.com...
- otteromkram 2y ago> Employment in food services and drinking places rose by 69,000 in September, well above the average monthly gain of 14,000 over the prior 12 months. Ah, yes, they byproduct of forced RTO. An increase in all this high-paying food service jobs. /s Got to keep the proletariat in check.
- klipklop 2y agoYeah this will likely be revised down (significantly) like the last several job reports. The job market is anything but booming right now and these job reports are pretty much gaslighting people at this point.
