      Those look more like quality comparisons than real time encoding comparisons. I was thinking about it from a geforce now / remote play perspective, like whether it would add latency over h264/h265. Presumably it's only a matter of time before it's all in hardware anyway.

  I tested AV1 encode hardware encode on AMD dedicated cards and it used low cpu and was low latency.
