- EarthBlues 2y agoThat’s one way to interpret the post. Another is that there used to be substantial permeability between high and low culture, and now there isn’t. I don’t think it’s far-fetched to suggest that least part of this divide originated in a misguided retreat on the part of high culture from the hoi-polloi.
