- hammock 2y agoSilicone can also be divided into two types based on curing process used. The cheapest process is peroxide-cured. This creates dichlorobenzene and PCBs byproducts which can leach into your food/etc. The more expensive process is platinum-cured, which is cleaner and does not have the same byproduct risk.
