It makes sense for everyone to fund the sciences though because we all benefit from it as we saw very clearly with the mRNA vaccines for covid most recently. Other examples include semiconductors, the internet etc. But it's hard to see how I benefit from someone making a messy bed because it's 'art'. (That is a real example. A literal messy bed.
