- kristopolous 2y agoThe magic of self-publishing
- amin 2y agoHah, I love this website. Thanks for sharing!
- getToTheChopin 2y agoPerfect for an "oddities" row on the bookshelf. Very fun
- qwertox 2y agoI just took a look into "How to Make People Feel Awkward at Work", and it reads like a Buzzfeed article. Per-page just a stupid thing like "Sing along under your breath to whatever song is playing in your headphones. [photo of woman in office scenario showing a thumbs-up] Remember, when you have your headphones on, that means no one else can hear you." We might as well flag this post.
- ollydbg 2y agoMaybe AI?
- eclecticfrank 2y agoPlus the fact it only serves you amazon affiliate links.
- ghssds 2y agoBuild a better life by stealing office supplies, by Scott Adams.
- komali2 2y agoSome of those are funny, but "The subtle art of not giving a fuck" isn't really weird. I enjoyed it but it's pretty bogstandard retelling of "How to win friends and influence people" with a couple of the other canonical self help books mixed in, it just also has swear words.
- ilrwbwrkhv 2y agoI was thinking of books like the anarchist's cookbook and how to be a hitman for hire like we read when growing up on the early internet.
- high_priest 2y agoThen https://anarchistlibraries.net https://anarchistlibraries.net is going to be of interest to you
- rwnspace 2y agoThis is suspiciously low quality for the top of HN. That said, I do recommend "How to Good-bye Depression: If You Constrict Anus 100 Times Everyday. Malarkey? Or Effective Way?"
- benterix 2y agoWell, if done quickly, it only takes 2 minutes or so, so it's worth trying I guess. And even if it doesn't work as intended, I guess it helps to control faeces better when we get older.
- jemmyw 2y agoI'd hoped for more strange fiction novels. There's a Robert Rankin book on the list, I do enjoy his particular odd style.
- coumbaya 2y agoI wish I could find a list for books more like "The stray shopping carts of eastern north america" but less like the just {$wtf/shock value title}.
- tessierashpool9 2y agowhy don't you asks this on r/weirdbookstoread?
