I can only speak about what it’s done to productivity. A Gen AI is a very ambitious intern who will do anything I ask. I can keep making it refine things, or take what it has and finish it myself. There are no hurt feelings and I don’t have to worry about keeping my Gen AI motivated. It certainly doesn’t write production quality code, but that entire first paragraph was science fiction a short time ago.
