The beginnings of Stephenson's simstim, right here.
- icot 14y agoWilliam Gibson's simstim and Stephenson's Gargoyle?
- redthrowaway 14y agoWas the Gargoyle from Snow Crash? I don't remember it. Either way, I'm reading Neuromancer at the moment and I picked up on that minor snafu, as well.
- icot 14y agoYes, it's from Snow Crash. I don't remember the whole description, because the Gargoyle included various additional modules/gadgets and one of the points was that it was odd-looking from outside.
- Bjartr 14y agoGah, can't believe I managed to get those mixed up, but yes.
