I can solve Wikipedia's woes quite easily - Wikipedia should limit itself to math, science, engineering, medicine, physics, chemistry, geography and other disciplines that are not at all in dispute.
Politics, history, religion and other topics of conversation that are matters of opinion, taste and state sponsored propaganda need to be off limits.
Its mission ought to be to provide a PhD level education in all technical fields, not engage in shortening historical events and/or opinions/preferences/beliefs down to a few pages and disputing which pages need to be left in or out. Let fools engage in that task on their own time.

- christianqchung 2y agoIs this satire? All of those industries listed significant disputes. If this is serious it's a concerning view of how science actually works.

- alexashka 2y agoPlease name me these 'significant' disputes. Start with math.
- kibwen 2y agoLet's start with an easy one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axiom_of_choice https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axiom_of_choice
- Der_Einzige 2y agoYou forgot to link the opposite (axion of determinancy)

- shiroiushi 2y agoWell for medicine, there's alternative medicines like chiropractic and homeopathy. According to some people, these are snake oil and quackery, but many others swear by them, and many healthcare systems even provide these treatments despite the complete lack of scientific backing.
- romanhn 2y agoSignificant (as in, directly impacting millions of people) geography-related disputes are in the news literally every day. Medicine - COVID vaccines. Science - global warming. Unfortunately, humans and their politics are intertwined into more aspects of life than one might deem rational.

- sapphicsnail 2y agoA lot of things that seem like simple facts are actually abstractions based on abstractions based on abstractions. The further up the chain, the more theoretical it gets. This is true of the humanities and science.
- Pamar 2y agoGeography I suppose includes borders. So you have now history and politics back in.
- miunau 2y agoThis seems like the kinda thing one would write while drunk off their keister.
