I'd imagine that the average, non-HackerNews-reading user is far more sensitive to "this takes FOREVER to load" than "this scrolling is choppy".

- flatline3 14y agoAnd yet Apple spent a ridiculous amount of time and money to make sure scrolling would be glassy smooth.
- scott_s 14y agoI imagine both bother them about equally, but that they don't distinguish between them. They're both just the app being "slow." To be clear, the scrolling isn't just a little choppy. It's a delay of a full second sometimes.
