The reason Israel attacks Hezbollah (not Lebanon, but Hezbollah), is that Hezbollah, unprovoked by Israel, started firing rockets on Israeli northern cities since October 8, 2023. They have been firing rockets ever since, almost on a daily manner, which caused tens of thousands of Israeli civilians to evacuate their homes. They live without home for almost a year now. Also, Hezbollah has plans to invade Israel, just like Hamas did on October 7, 2023. Israel's goals are to stop Hezbollah from firing rockets and push it north into Lebanon and away from its borders, so Hezbollah cannot operate on its goal to invade Israel.
