Surely ~$25B/year is enough to push the frontiers of space exploration?
- bdangubic 2y agoWe spend $900bn on “defense” so not really ;)
- bdjsiqoocwk 2y agoWhat a stupid comment. How much is spent on defense affects exactly nothing to the question of how much work can be done with 25bn
- bdangubic 2y agoso we can push frontiers on space exploration with 25bn but need 900bn for earth exploration? makes sense ;)
- bdjsiqoocwk 2y agoNo one is spending 900 on earth exploration.
- bdangubic 2y agosorry, "exploration" is a wrong word, destruction I guess is better ... 25bn is absolutely not enough money not just for any "deep space" exploration but not enough for "around the Earth and back" exploration which is why private companies like SpaceX are taking over even that...
- mmooss 2y agoSpaceX doesn't do exploration.
