I wouldn't hold onto that too tightly as a way to make you feel better. Google and Facebook initially lost tons of money but when they did become profitable, they became wildly profitable.
- tivert 2y agoDid Google and Facebook suffer tons of attrition very early? The drumbeat of departures calls into question OpenAI's ability to stay ahead of its competitors. Then you have the fact that Facebook is giving LLaMA away for free, which gives OpenAI Netscape vibes.
