I think sam is doing dumb stuff right now but can we stop with the hyperbole? OpenAI and sam are very clearly pushing for regulation and working with law makers in tons of countries. There are definitely open aspects of OpenAI but this is such a tired argument I can't be bothered to repeat it for the fifth time. I agree this move was really the nail in the coffin of trust though. To go from claiming zero financial interest in openai as a reason we should trust him, to (from the sounds of it) about to be nearly ten billion dollars richer from openai, just reeks of bullshit
