I'd say "I'm going to Harrods", but never "has anyone seen iPhone?" to mean my iphone.
They've been trying this for over a decade and it still just sounds jarring.
- madcaptenor 2y agoCar manufacturers do it too - "Camry is safer than Accord" or something like that. (Maybe it's the other way around.) I'm not sure when it started.
