It's probably no surprise that in suburbia, the same conformist social dynamics we all loathed from high school are alive and well among the parent community (and teacher, for that matter). Nobody wants their kid to have an "abnormal" upbringing. Well, except the ones who do, but they're the homeschooling/Montessori crowd anyway.
