- throwaway81523 2y agoThe EU requirement is pretty weak and it basically says you can take the phone apart and replace the battery without iphone-like hassle levels. So when the battery reaches EOL, you can order a new battery and do the repair yourself at home. What I miss is being able to swap batteries whenever you feel like it, with no tools, like you would with a flashlight. That means you don't have to mess with power banks or worry about your phone's charge level. Just carry a spare, charged battery with you. I'm old enough to remember when basically all mobile phones were like that.
