It is shocking to me that Instacart is still showing absolutely disgusting-looking AI-generated food pictures next to AI-generated recipes. Honestly every single one looks absolutely vile - none of them even look like food at all. And I see them every single time I go grocery shopping.
I swear they don't even have a human review any of it for even 1 second. These pictures are just....really really gross-looking. They don't even look like food. They don't even look like staged pictures for marketing of food. They look....cursed from the devil himself.
- rsynnott 2y agoLook, horrendous nightmare pseudo-food pictures are just the price that has to be paid to appease the markets. Claiming to use 'ai' was probably worth a few percent on their stock price; what they're using it for hardly matters provided they say the magic word.
