- jeroenhd 2y agoThe industry uses bits rather than bytes. If you buy 1tb NAND from a factory or NAND dealer, you're going to get 128GiB (or perhaps even 125TiB) of storage. The conversion to bytes generally happens the moment products start being offered to end users.
