Based on the title I thought this was about summaries of podcasts, not summaries in the form of a podcast. Anyway, looks like a dead end gimmick to me. I don't see why I'd ever want to listen to artificial banter. I think people listen to podcasts because they want to hear some specific people's take on something. If you're going to take away the people, I'd rather be left with a simple summary read by text-to-speech software. But maybe this is absolutely brilliant and I just don't understand people, who the hell knows. Or maybe it gets better when we get actual AI personalities that people enjoy, connect with and empathize with. Right now this entire category of AI application feels totally soulless and, in blind imitation, misses the whole point. But, of course, expect your podcast app to be drowned in this junk, if it isn't already. I guess Google deleted theirs in anticipation.
