Spartacus.app – "Kickstarter" for Collective Action
- khafra 2y agoThis is a cool step toward Tabarrok's Dominant Assurance Contracts; and as a game theory enjoyer, I approve of it. However, I'm not certain it's a minimum viable product, as it is now. If I were considering whether to join in a collective action where my participation itself is potentially damaging to me, unless enough people join, I would be looking for some sort of legal and/or technical safeguard for my info, on the front page. Those safeguards would define the limits of the actions I would join. E.g., if I were going to protest a church in my small town for its patrons illegally parking in all the neighborhoods' driveways, I would be satisfied with an informal pledge from the owners not to give up names to anyone without a subpoena. But if I were thinking about joining a group Naruto-run into Area 51, I would want some kind of encryption with a Byzantine Agreement Protocol going on.
