When they see their house prices and rent going up yet their salaries don't go up in line with inflation and even no promotions, it is no wonder they instead prioritise spending rather than saving up 40 years to buy a house which has probably gone up 20x in price since then. All this when the previous generation bought houses under $50K-$80K.
