this may sound strange, but i've decided to try and use Linear as a personal writing tool.
i used to use Notion, but the lack of offline mode, even after all these years, made me decide to look for alternatives.
i thought about obsidian, but there are wasn't a simple, free way to sync between desktop, ios, and android all at once; Google Docs also seemed like a possibility, but it doesn't seem to have markdown support on mobile (it does in the web)
so, since Linear has a comparable free tier to Notion, great offline, and apps on all platforms.... here goes nothing
- codybontecou 2y agoHave you tried Obsidian Git? It's a free plugin that enables free and automatic syncing using git.
- achristmascarl 2y agoi've seen it but it seems like getting it to work on iOS is a pain (but i could be wrong)
- theshrike79 2y ago...Linear is an issue management tool, how would you use it as a writing tool?
- achristmascarl 2y agothe editor for issues has markdown and in-line images support, so i'm treating each issue as a page/note/doc/whatever
