Who thought this was a good idea? Is there any actual documentation on this or is it just a thing they added?

- echoangle 2y agoIsn’t this almost certainly a bug? I’m pretty sure the MacOS developers don’t really want to add a .s extension to files.

- arresin 2y agoI can understand people thinking it’s a misguided feature considering my own experiences.
- dwaite 2y agoA feature to accomplish... what? It isn't "autocomplete" as the original title implied; the .s never appears in the save dialog even if you tab away from text entry. Apple has been deprecating global access to the universal type system, so it is certainly possible this was an edge case falling out from that.

- KETHERCORTEX 2y agoFile saving dialog doesn't have functionality for purchases or subscriptions, so it may have a lower priority in the eyes of upper management.
