  So heartbreaking that his mother died almost 20 years ago, never knowing what happened to him. At least his brother managed to see him before he died.

    Trauma interferes with memory formation and getting stolen from your family at 6 years old is probably pretty traumatic. Also people often trauma bond with their abusers. This guy has a lot to unpack and my heart goes out to him and his family, especially his mother. Very sad.
