It's not the mind. It's the lack of decorum. Many of these accomplished individuals decide that they know better than anyone else so they lose patience with individuals they consider inferior to them. Superiority complex is a common human trait. Many of us have the need to flaunt our advantages over others. It's a human need. I attribute it to the same reason male birds are highly decorated vs females. They need to attract a female for mating. We as humans have a deep need to show others that we are a better catch than the alternative. We establish "superiority" by showing that we are stronger, smarter, wealthier, and have more power. However, as part of that, we commonly defend that trait by being aggressive and less kind to others. It is so ingrained that we don't even realize that we are doing it.
Look at people who gain wealth over time. Many of them become really nasty individuals. Again they are just protecting their status the only we humans know, aggression.
That's my take. Others might have a better one.
