Disagree. For people who don't fall into the groups I described, I think there's merit to pushing past the psychological hurdles and putting yourself out there in the 'real world'. Most people who fit into this category catastrophize the anticipated negative outcome or otherwise mistakenly imagine that they'll always be rejected. Most people who take the risk are surprised to find this is almost never the case.
