Installed solar on my roof 2 years ago (Croatia). Panel price was 40 cents per W, but that was only 30% od the installation cost, and only 20% of total cost (with permits, etc). EU subsidies covered ~30% of the total cost. Expect to break even in 8 years at current prices (sure to go up because they’re currently subsidized, so ~5 years more likely).
