The Snake Oil Salesman's Promises for Tesla's Full Self-Driving AI
- nabla9 2y agoRodney Brooks comments: >It's getting laughable. Elon says the same thing again and again and again and again, and his system is not improving at all. He's not in the top 3 and has no chance of getting even a testing license for robo taxis.

- loxodrome 2y agoNot so sure about that. Waymo and Tesla are making progress. The issue is the long tail of edge cases that take pretty much full-blow AGI to resolve completely. Soon the car will be able to recognize when it is confused and react in a safe manner while alerting the user. Only low-speed driving will be safe enough for full autonomy in the beginning. This is basically already deployed in limited areas.

- jqpabc123 2y agoWaymo is delivering 100,000 driverless taxi rides a week. Tesla doesn't even have a legal license to test a driverless taxi. When will investors finally catch on to this ruse? Apparently, not anytime soon. One of the biggest market gainers following the Fed rate cut this week was TSLA.
- pants2 2y agoSeems like the best self-driving car you can get today is a new-ish Toyota with Comma.ai installed.
