It is more patient and generally puts more effort than most human interactions, and often better informed from its huge training set. These models are now "the worst they are ever going to get", I expect the quality of dialogue to improve. Claude Sonnet for example was a big leap, and the latest 4o and o1 are showing good signs of progress.
