Well, we also can’t get to Arctic data centers without trying and I’d argue that’s far more likely to be achievable of a goal.
- OutOfHere 2y agoWhere's the power source in the Arctic? The sun doesn't shine too strongly there if at all, so solar wouldn't work. Power would have to wired in from thousands of miles away, which is achievable, but that's extra work. Wind could work, but it would require vast batteries to supply a steady load. Like with mining Bitcoin, the best place is where the power is available and cheapest.
