I use code search all the time, ever since the beta at cs.github.com. My biggest use case is seeing how others implement something I'm working on or with. For example, if I'm trying to use a badly documented dependency, I'll search GH to see how others use it; or if I'm trying to implement some design pattern, I'll search GH to study up.
