reading about industrial farming like this makes me absolutely sick. is it time for people to start growing their own food again?

- gus_massa 2y agoYou use approximately 100W, that's like a solar power of 0.1m^2(11sqft). But plant's have a 1% of efficiency, and they only work during the day, so you need like 20m^2(220sqft), assuming ideal conditions, no fungus or pests, ... So you need a big garden for everyone, or if the plan is to buy an apartment and remove the ceiling (or cultivate in the roof), you need like 2 "farm" rooms per person.
