    It’s not unremarkable, or even very common. But lots of countries do this besides Israel (targeted strikes to eliminate targets and remind would-be targets that it’s hard to get out of reach). It’s true that they tend to be on the high-tech side compared to say Iran, and that democracies most of the time at least try to make it look legal. I disagree with the other post you mention, FWIW.
