- guywithahat 2y agoThe sad part about the fediverse was it was already tried by republicans from ~2017 to 2020. They learned nothing from republicans and decided to repeat the experiment but with democrats. These sites don't scale well, are complex, and don't have good ways of generating enough revenue to justify growth. I think there could be solutions to these problems but for whatever reason nobody figured it out in time.
