Any company that tells me I have to be in office 5 days a week is a company I am never bringing home a laptop for. If the place burns down because it isn't adequately staffed outside of normal working hours, so be it.

- MisterBastahrd 2y agoI'm never going to be on call. It is a condition of my employment. If you've let them abuse you like that, then it's on you. That isn't to say that if something needs to be overseen because a part of our infrastructure needs updating that I won't volunteer. But being mandated to babysit systems? No, absolutely not.
